2024 Week 10: Steelers 28, Commanders 27
This was an interesting game, the Commanders were in control for a most of the second half, but Russ just kept landing those moon balls he was known for back in Seattle, the only guy I’ve ever seen hit those consistently. Ultimately Washington did lose this game, it was not the Steelers winning.
Pittsburgh (7-2) remains on top of Baltimore in the AFC North, who they face this coming weekend. This division will likely come down to some sort of tiebreaker between the two, whether it’s head-to-head or division record.
Washington (7-3) also has a huge matchup on TNF, playing Philadelphia for control of the NFC East. Washington has a very easy schedule and should win their division if they can split with Philly, a win tonight ~almost~ guarantees them NFC East.

QB Report:
- Russell Wilson (14/28 for 3TDs/1 INT), on the tape, doesn’t look good. Somehow he finds a way to get touchdowns, mostly because he’s throwing to George Pickens… a receiver everyone knows I’m a BIG fan of. Russ had a late moon shot to Big Mike Williams (1-32-1/1) that saved his FF night and is drawing more attention to him.
- This was Jayden Daniels (17/34 for 202 yards; 5 rush yards) worst game of the season, fitting as it was the best defense he’s faced all season. Daniels was under pressure the whole game and struggled, but he still weathered the storm, leading his team to three touchdowns and tying the Colts for the most points scored on the Steelers thus far. I would have liked to see Daniels rely more on his rushing ability, against tough defenses that’s what a mobile QB needs to do. It’ll be interesting to see what happens tonight against Philly.
RB/WR Report:
- Just like last season, Pittsburgh is moving away from a full Najee Harris (21-53-1) led backfield and pushing Jaylen Warren (14-66-0; 2 catches for 29 yards) more. And just like last season, Jaylen Warren looks better than Najee Harris. In Warren’s last 3 games (since getting more work), he’s averaging 11.67 carries, 52 yards, and 2 catches for 19 yards over that span.
- Is George Picken’s (5-91-1/7) good at football or what? Who knew all it took to unleash him was throwing him the ball? I mean… I did, but for these millionaire coaches to figure it out is some groundbreaking stuff.
- Brian Robinson is supposed to be back for TNF, which will put an end to Austin Ekeler’s (13-44-2; 1 catch for 7 yards) RB1 streak.
D/ST Report:
- I touched briefly on Austin Seibert in the Cowboys recap so let’s get a tad more in-depth. Seibert is the #1 Kicker in fantasy on a PPG basis, he has such a high volume because of this high-powered offense. In comparison to other positions, in PPG Seibert is TE3, RB23, and DST1. He’s the most valuable asset in fantasy when healthy, with Brandon Aubrey and Chris Boswell (4/4 XP) T2.
