Plays, Pests, and Prayers - Week 11

PLAYS

Quarterbacks:

Steelers QB Russell Wilson vs. BAL

Russell Wilson has been working lately and the Baltimore pass defense is one you want to attack at every opportunity possible.

Runningbacks:

Saints RB Alvin Kamara vs. CLE

Obviously you aren’t going to sit Alvin Kamara, but I think he will have the best week out of any RB. The Saints receiving core is torn to shreds at the moment and they still have to throw ball… enter Alvin Kamara. Kamara is averaging right around 8 targets and 6 catches a game in the Saints last 7 matches.

Wide Receivers:

Steelers WR George Pickens vs. BAL

If I’m projecting Russ to have it good game, it almost has to go through George Pickens. Even if Russ doesn’t have the best game, GP will still get his targets.

Titans WR Calvin Ridley vs. MIN

Ridley and Levis have been looking great together the past two weeks, and Ridley finally looks like the receiver everyone believed he was when he signed with Jacksonville.

Tight Ends:

Bengals TE Mike Gesicki vs. LAC

Saints TE Taysom Hill vs. CLE

Striking Gesicki with Tee Higgins starting, so we go to the most dynamic player in the NFL. I know it’s bold having both Kamara and Hill on here, and for Hill to be a PLAY he will likely need to vulture a touchdown or two depending on how much of an influence Hill has. I think that Kamara can still succeed without scoring, he’s a PPR machine. Whenever New Orleans has a chance at making the playoffs Taysom becomes a huge part of their offense, and right now they have a chance at making the playoffs and winning the division, when they go for it, they do it with Hill

D/ST:

Texans D/ST vs. DAL

Any defense facing Cooper Rush is poised for a big performance, and he threw 3 INTs last week, they just happened to be dropped.

PESTS

Quarterbacks:

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa vs. LV

I don’t like anything I’m seeing with Dolphins offense, it simply isn’t working. The Raiders pass defense isn’t that bad either, 11th in yards against, to my surprise.

Runningbacks:

Vikings RB Aaron Jones vs. TEN

Tennessee has one of the best run defenses by nearly any metric, and Aaron Jones is coming into this game banged up already

Wide Receivers:

Falcons WR Darnell Mooney vs. DEN

The Broncos have two amazing corners that it doesn’t matter if PS2 or Moss are following Mooney or not, either side of the field Mooney will have elite defenders on him.

Tight Ends:

Jaguars TE Evan Engram vs. DET

Detroit has a great defense all-around and is stifling TEs this year. I expect no different with Mac Jones under center.

D/ST:

Jets D/ST vs. IND

If we get the Anthony Richardson of 2024, then the Jets will probably have an okay game, but I think Richardson comes out angry and has a big game. The Jets defense has been a get-right game for quarterbacks the last month or so, and AR needs a get-right game.

PRAYERS

Quarterbacks:

Titans QB Will Levis vs. MIN

Tennessee’s offense is starting to find its groove, and all it took was for DeAndre Hopkins to be traded. Ridley and Levis are connecting like they’ve played together for years, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has been showing off the last few games as well. The tide might be turning for TEN.

Runningbacks:

Chargers RB Gus Edwards vs. CIN

Gus took a big bite of JK Dobbins carries last week and looked and played better than JKD. Gus is the better of the two backs so let’s hope Harbaugh is seeing that too.

Wide Receivers:

Broncos WR Marvin Mims vs. ATL

Mims was getting some real work last week in their biggest game of the season, facing KC. On top of his receiving day (4-13-0/4) he was also getting in some rushing attempts, those are priceless for a WR, and any time they get a carry on a reverse it could be a house call. Mims had more rushing attempts than Javonte Williams.

Tight Ends:

Chargers TE Will Dissly vs. CIN

Cincinnati is awful against the tight end this season and Dissly has been seeing more work in the passing game lately, as the Chargers use heavier sets to run the clock out.

D/ST:

Titans D/ST vs. MIN

The Titans defense is very good, it’s just the offense and special teams provide little to no assistance, always putting the D in bad positions. Darnold has been a turnover machine lately and the Titans offense is trending toward playing 4 good quarters, this could be the week for Tennessee if you really need it.
