2024 Week 10: Bills 30, Colts 20

The Colts are their own worst enemy. They started this game with a pick-six, a second turnover to put them down 10-0, and the Bills just simply won from here on out, they are the better team with the better QB.

Buffalo is now (8-2) and way out in front of the rest of the AFC East, they’re likely going to clinch the playoffs in a few weeks, especially if they can manage to beat KC. Despite the Bills success, no one will believe in them unless they beat the Chiefs.

The Colts dropped to (4-6), losing yet another game they could have won, a common theme among AFC South teams. The Colts are screwed, Shane Steichen, the GM, and QB are all the on the hot seat, Richardson for his play, and Steichen and the GM for benching AR.

===================================

QB Report:

- Joe Flacco (26/35 for 272 yards, 2TD/3 INT) lost the starting gig after two horrible starts in a row, losing both games and was likely the reason for both losses. Would Anthony Richardson have won those games? It depends on which version we got. There’s chaos in the background in Indianapolis, switching from AR to Flacoo and then back to AR. On top of that, Steichen said on Monday Flacco was the starter, then on Tuesday came out saying AR was starting… someone from upstairs told him this was Richardson’s team. All I know is that heads are going to roll this offseason.

The Jets have been a ‘get-right’ game for quarterbacks lately so I’m not sure what to expect from Richardson. Unlike the rookie in Chicago, he does have the benefit of having the team behind him. There is so much QB drama this week, I’ll cover that in the Bears game.

WR/TE Report:

- Through the lens of Richardson starting, all of the Colts WRs fall off a cliff of unpredictability, except for Alec Pierce (4-81-1/7), who gets a slight raise as the deep threat.

- Dalton Kincaid (2-24-0/5) had the perfect setup for a monster game, no Keon Coleman, no Amari Cooper, and of course, he gets hurt. Kincaid should be the next Kelce, but something always happens whether it's game planning or injury.

- Khalil Shakir (6-58-0/9) was also primed to have a monster game, but he just had a standard game, Mack Hollins (4-86-0/4) was the big winner and has been the last two games, averaging 4.5 catches, 58 yards, and .5 TDs. Amari, Coleman, and Kincaid are out for this key matchup against KC so Hollins has a surprise upside. He should be a Prayer this week when I work on that piece.

D/ST Report:
- Some cause for concern, but despite the Bills scoring 30 points only 20 were directly because of the offense, not great with KC coming up. The Colts limited Josh Allen to 0 passing TDs scores and two picks. Indy’s defense has improved markedly over the last few weeks.

The Colts defense has a nice schedule coming to end the year: NE, at DEN, TEN, at NYG, JAX.
