Waiver Adds, Avoids, and Trade Targets - Week 13

Waiver Players You Should TRUST:

Buccaneers D/ST

I’m shocked this defense is still under 50% owned despite facing NYG this past weekend, but here we are. The Bucs have the best schedule to finish out year minus the LAC game…

CAR-LV-LAC-DAL-CAR to close the season.

Dolphins TE, Jonnu Smith

Another shocking one to see less than 50% ownership, Jonnu Smith is now the TE6 in PPG on the year.

Broncos WR, Devaughn Vele

One of my favorite WRs in the league since about Week 2, Vele is FINALLY getting real playing time. In each of his last 3 games he’s played above 60% of snaps, and in these games (games with over 60% snaps) he is averaging 12.5 ppg and trending upwards. Sean Payton tried to fight it but Vele forced himself in.

Titans WR, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

NWI just continues to put up TDs and now he’s getting more targets to go along with his recent success. Levis is starting to play really well and still has room to improve, and NWI and Ridley will be the two main benefactors.

Commanders D/ST

Nice for a one-week stream, Washington is facing the Titans this week which means they’ll get a million sacks thanks to the awful right side of Tennessee’s O-line.

Chargers RB, Gus Edwards

The JK Dobbins injury from last night has had no news since it occurred, but Gus was already cutting into JKDs playing time before this. Gus is essentially the same style of back as JKD but he’s faster, on plays where JKD was getting caught from behind Gus would not be. JKDs injury is the first injury to a major RB since Isiah Pacheco so people will be clamoring for him.

Chargers TE, Will Dissly

Dissly has a tough matchup against Atlanta this week, but next weeks (Week 13) matchup @ KC is a golden opportunity. The Chiefs are one of the worst teams against the TE and have been all year… remember that Week 1 game Isaiah Likely had?

Waiver Players You Should DISTRUST:

Lions WR, Tim Patrick

Tim Patrick had a nice game with (4-55-0/4) Kalif Raymond getting hurt, but when have we ever thought about Kalif Raymond?

Chiefs TE, Noah Gray

Noah Gray has scored 2 TDs in each of KCs last two games. Those 4 touchdowns put him at T4 in TDs league-wide. Gray is ahead of teammate Travis Kelce (2) and other notable TEs like Bowers, Laporta, Pitts, Kmet, and McBride. I can understand the allure of Gray, but I’d only pursue him in deep leagues or dynasties, and even that’s iffy. In a standard 12-man league I’d let someone else use the roster spot on him. I wouldn’t be shocked if Gray is the most cut player next week.

Buccaneers RB, Sean Tucker

TB talked about getting Tucker more involved because he didn’t play last week, which they did, and even managed to get him a TD. In reality, the Bucs only have eyes for Bucky Irving. Tucker barely played after the first few drives.

Panthers WR, David Moore

David Moore filled in nicely for Jalen Coker and had a nice FF game, but that’s all there is to it. Moore isn’t a great receiver and he still has Bryce Young throwing to him.

Players to BUY-LOW:

Cardinals RB, James Conner

James Conner had 8 rushing yards on 7 attempts this week, Trey Benson ran the ball better than Conner, but he’s still the guy there. As long as the Cardinals are in the playoff race this is James Conner’s backfield. In Dynasty Conner is too old, in redraft he just got cheaper, like an RB2 instead of an RB 1-1.5.

49ers WR, Jauan Jennings

Even without Brock Purdy the team and Brandon Allen understand that Jennings is the best receiver on the team. Jennings is a WR2 hopeful with Allen, but when Brock returns he instantly regains his WR1 status.

Packers WR, Romeo Doubs

- I have had Doubs on this list for weeks now, Doubs is starting to hit FF-waivers and if he’s out this weekend most teams will cut him, regardless of an open IR spot or not. I think Doubs is playing the best he’s ever played there have just been a lot of unfortunate circumstances that have brought his numbers down. You can Doubs for just about anything right now, providing someone depth at TE or maybe even a decent defense. WR 4 valuation.

Players to SELL HIGH:

Buccaneers RB, Rachaad White

White keeps scoring touchdowns, but that’s the only way he’s been putting up numbers in Fantasy. For Tampa Bay it’s Bucky’s world… and White/Tucker are living in it.

Vikings WR, Jordan Addison

Jordan Addison’s name carries a lot of weight, but he’s never been able to produce consistently, and it’s understandable given his situation. Addison is always a sell-high after a nice event, but he can’t be trusted to produce consistently.

Bears RB, D’Andre Swift

Swift has an absolutely brutal schedule of run defenses, going up against DET-SF-MIN-DET-SEA to lose the season, and Seattle all of a sudden is a great run defense… maybe. Regardless the first 4 games of that schedule are killers.

Deep League/Dynasty Targets:

Titans QB, Will Levis

It’s finally starting to happen with Will Levis, and people are finally taking notice. Levis is the second most hated player in the NFL right now (Deshaun Watson), so he has no value.

Cowboys TE, Luke Schoonmaker

If Jake Ferguson is out this week, and it’s likely given the quick turnaround Dallas has this week, the Schoonmaker is in a great place to succeed just like he did this past week.

Broncos WR, Marvin Mims

Mims has become the gadget guy in Denver and that’s always a valuable role in fantasy football. Mims is starting to work his way into a FLEX viable player, he had a season-high 5 targets and 2 carries this past weekend.

Browns QB, Jameis Winston

Jameis is a steady QB2 with QB1 upside depending on the opponent they face, this week against Denver is the worst matchup he has the rest of the season, and has a nice schedule from Week 16-18 against CIN-MIA-BAL.

Jets QB, Tyrod Taylor

If the Aaron Rodgers IR/bench rumors are true then Tyrod will fill his shoes. Tyrod has played some nice football in the last few years but has struggled to find consistent playing time.
