2024 Week 6: Bengals 17, Giants 7
I had the displeasure of going to this game. It was hard fought and close the whole game but the genius of Danny Dimes was too much for the Giants (yes that’s right) to rise above.
Brian Daboll has the Giants (2-4) playing hard. NY is in every game they play but they can’t rise above because of Jones’s lackluster QB play. If Daboll were able to unhook himself from the anchor that is Daniel Jones this Giants team might just take off. If they lose to Philly this week Daboll and Jones both might lose their jobs.
Cincy (2-4) got their second win this week and it saved their season for another week. The Bengals have a lot of issues with their O-line and defense, but if they crush Cleveland they are right back in the thick of things for playoffs/winning the division.

QB Report:
- Joe Burrow (19/28 for 208 yards, 4 rushes for 55 yards, 1TD) had a bad day at the office but his fantasy scoring was saved by a long 47-yard touchdown run to open up the game. This wasn’t an ‘off night’ for Burrow but rather the emerging Giants defense.
RB Report:
- Chase Brown (10-53-1, 2 catches for 11 yards) is a better RB than Zack Moss (6-13-0, 1 catch for 2 yards) right now… but that could change next week. Brown and Moss are putting up similar numbers in the passing game but Brown is more efficient in the run game. The touch counts are trending towards Brown but one down game for Brown could put Moss right back into the lead role.
- Tyrone Tracy (17-50-1, 6 catches for 57 yards) played so well, well enough to take over the lead role from Devin Singletary. I don’t know how Schoen-Daboll-Kafka can watch what Tracy has done the last two games and go back to a full Singletary lead. At the very least show the world you have some brains and do a 50/50 split if you want to keep your Buffalo guy happy. I would be shocked if that were to happen, from the crew that brought you a second Daniel Jones contract, the Joe Schoen Giants present… Devin Singletary!
WR/TE Report:
- There’s not much to report on for either team in this regard, I think Tee Higgins (7-77-0/7) has looked really good the last few weeks, he’s catching everything in his catch radius.
D/ST Report:
- This Giants defense is really coming into its own and has been for weeks now. Rookies Dru Phillips (5 tackles, 1 TFL) and Tyler Nubin (9 tackles, 1 TFL) are leading the way for this Giants team.
- Dexter Lawrence (3 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 TFL) is second in the league for sacks with 7 and leading the Giants team to having the most sacks in the league. If the season ended today he would likely be the DPOY.
