2024 Week 2: Colts 10, Packers 16
The Colts defense played horrifically and seemingly didn't have a gameplan for Malik Willis at all. Anyone that knows anything about football could have predicted Green Bay would run the ball 30-35+ times this game, after losing their starting QB and having a mobile and inaccurate backup. The only person that didn’t might have been Indy DC Gus Bradley.
All together, the Packers had 261 rushing yards on FIFTY THREE attempts, and the Colts defense didn’t adjust until at the earliest, half time. This is potentially the worst single game coaching performance ever.

QB Report:
- Malik Willis (12/14 for 122 yards, 1 TD) had almost no impact on this game. His passing numbers look fine but almost every attempt was an extension of the run game, screens and drags galore. The few times Willis threw downfield were awful and a Packers WR would make an incredible acrobatic catch and come down with it.
- This was Anthony Richardson’s (17/34 for 204 yards, 1 TD 3 INT) worst game as a pro. Indy receivers dropped or fell on multiple deep shots that if they connected, this is a completely different ball game. Rookie WR Adonai Mitchell (1-30-0/4) is killing this passing game, Josh Downs returning this week should sit him down.
RB Report:
- There isn’t much to say about the starting RBs in this game, Josh Jacobs (32-151-0) was running all over Indy and the Colts were mostly passing the ball to stay in this game.
- Rookie RB Marshawn Lloyd (6-15-0, 1 catch for 3 yards) was injured for GB and put on IR, Lloyd when he returns is going to be a focal point of this offense in tandem with Jacobs.
- Emanuel Wilson (5-9-0) is the best RB the Packers have and I will continue to hammer this point home… they just don’t like him for whatever reason. The only way Wilson will get respect in this offense is if it’s forced by a Josh Jacobs injury while Lloyd is on IR.
WR/TE Report:
- Romeo Doubs (3-62-0/3) made the majority of the downfield catches for Green Bay. When Love comes back Doubs and Jayden Reed (2-9-0/2, 2 rushes for 37 yards) will lead this receiving group.
- Alec Pierce (5-56-1/7) is the main look for AR, not Michael Pittman (3-21-0/7). All of the fantasy people want it to be Pittman because he’s a boring possession WR, but Pierce is the one to own in that regard. We will have to see what happens to this group when Josh Downs (DNP) plays this week, but right now it’s Pierce-Downs-Pittman in that order.
