2024 Week 13: Dolphins 17, Packers 30
Miami has been a super hot team as of late, but the narrative that the Dolphins can’t play in the cold stayed true. As did the narrative that Mike McDaniel can’t beat teams with winning records. Green Bay whooped Miami but the Dolphins had some late scores against the backups to make it look nicer. The score was 27-3 at the end of the third quarter.
What impressed me about the Packers (9-3) win was how strong their defense looked despite the injuries to Jaire, Edgerin Cooper, and a few others. If GB can pull off a win tonight they might win the NFC North and could be the front-runner to represent the NFC.
Miami (5-7) still has playoff aspirations and a very easy schedule coming up, but I don’t know how well you can rely on this team to show up week-in and week-out. They’ll likely get to 7-10, maybe 8-9.

RB Report:
- Rookie sensation/speeder Jaylen Wright has to be in the biggest dog house ever… he only played 1 snap and Raheem Mostert (5-19-0; 2 catches for 15 yards) has buried him on the depth chart. Wright hasn’t been able to get comfortable, and the coaches aren’t giving the opportunity to anyway.
WR/TE Report:
- Two explosive Tight Ends faced off, Jonnu Smith (10-113-0/11) and Tucker Kraft (6-78-0/7).
Jonnu Smith is the entire game plan for the Miami passing game, and it’s working well enough. It’s going great for fantasy… Jonnu just tallied his third straight 20-point PPR performance.
Tucker Kraft is third among TEs in TDs scored this year at 6. Just like Jonnu he’s becoming a focal point of this offense… and the coaches seem to be ‘all in’ on Kraft too.
- Tyreek Hill (6-83-1/9) has found his groove finally… most teams it took 2 or 3 games to figure it out. Tyreek it took 12. He’s averaging 5.2 catches for 59.5 yards and .5 TDs in their last 6 games.
D/ST Report:
- The Packers just held one of the hottest offenses to 17 points, and most of those were scored in garbage time. This is the 4th week straight this defense has held opponents to under 20 points, and Detroit is one of those teams, who they play in about half an hour of me writing this. Remember they’ve also been doing this with their two best defenders injured.
